Faux Stained Glass Sun Catcher

You can make a faux stain glass sun catcher, using clear cast resin as a faux gallery glass!

Supplies:

8 x 10 picture frame

Clear cast resin
Resin Dye

Puff Paint

Print out of the computer an 8 x 10 design.

Take the glass out of the frame and place on top of print out.

Using puff paint, trace over your design. Make the lines thick because these will be a wall to hold the resin. The resin is much thinner than gallery glass so your walls much be thick and tall or your resin will bleed.

Allow your puff paint to dry and start to fill the inside of the design with resin. Do NOT fill to the top, when the resin starts to cure it sometimes expands and will overflow.

You can see in the image above that I had a little spillage. SO I ended up marbleizing the yellow area.

There ya go. Now go off and be creative!
